THE ADVENTURE

Gray whales spend winter and spring in warm Baja California Sur lagoons, birthing their young, engaging in mating, and occasional feeding. They undertake an impressive 5,000-mile migration over 2-3 months, one of the longest for any mammal.

During our safari, we'll spend a day at a Pacific lagoon, carefully choosing optimal gray whale watching conditions.

To conclude, we'll explore mountains and canyons, observing stunning coasts from a different view. A mule safari unveils rancher culture, granting access to remote places. Our mountain expedition involves wildlife monitoring with locals and camera trap installations. This adventure includes setting a new camera trap, enhancing our understanding and aiding in preserving this biodiverse haven.

Our adventure starts in Loreto, a serene stretch of ocean sheltered between mainland Mexico and the stunning deserts and mountains of the Baja California Sur peninsula.

Immersed in the warm-hearted culture of Baja California, we'll discover the unique life of this diverse region, both on land and in its sacred waters. We'll traverse by foot, boat, and even mule safaris.

This paradise attracts a variety of whale species that come to nurse and feed in the warm, predator-free waters. Humpback whales, fin whales, and the enormous blue whales, the largest animals on Earth, grace these waters from January to March. With them, we also expect the presence of top ocean predators, orcas, some of whom feed on dolphins and whales.

Our journey continues with a day of cruising and exploration, navigating the coast and the islands of the Loreto Marine Reserve, each with names like Carmen, Danzante, Montserrat, Catalana, and Coronado.
