Leopoldo Alejandro Sanmiguel
Leopoldo Sanmiguel, born in Tijuana, is a passionate adventurer and expedition leader with a diverse background. He studied industrial engineering at CETYS, but his true calling lies in exploring the rugged landscapes of Baja Peninsula and sharing his love for adventure with others. In 2015, he founded Baja Adventures with the vision of creating a community that brings together individuals to experience various adventures in the peninsula. His commitment to sustainable tourism has allowed him to cultivate a network of like-minded adventurers who share a passion for exploring and preserving the natural beauty of the region.With a deep commitment to sustainable tourism, Leopoldo has honed his skills as a guide, earning numerous certifications.
Leopoldo's expertise extends beyond just guiding. He is an accomplished over-landing expeditions, having led numerous expeditions through the peninsula diverse terrains. To further enhance his skills, he has completed kayaking courses with NOLS (National Outdoor Leadership School) and training in first emergency response in remote locations. In addition to his guiding work, Leopoldo has been involved in several tourism board productions and various conservation projects (KM1, Nakawe Project), contributing to the protection of Mexico's natural resources. He combines his love for history, adventure, and logistics to create unforgettable experiences for his guests. He is committed to minimizing the impact on the environment, serving as a Leave No Trace instructor and ensuring that all expeditions adhere to sustainable practices.

Regina Domingo
Regi Domingo is a dedicated wildlife expedition leader and conservation based in Baja California Sur, Mexico since 2015. Originally from Spain, Regi developed a passion for wildlife conservation early in life, leading her to study tourism, professional diving, and media.
As the director of Baja Adventures, she has over 10 years of experience creating ecotourism adventures focused on wildlife encounters and sustainable practices. Regi is also the founder and executive director of the Nakawe Project, a non-profit organization 501(c)3 committed to wildlife conservation and ecosystem protection. Her work spans various marine conservation projects and ecotourism initiatives in countries including Mexico, Costa Rica, Panama, Colombia, Cabo Verde, and throughout Europe.
With more than 3,000 dives logged, Regi is a skilled free-diver and dive instructor, bringing extensive experience in wildlife guiding and logistics to every expedition. She has contributed as a field producer for several natural history documentaries, including Sharkwater Extinction and FIN the movie, showcasing her commitment to raising awareness about marine conservation issues.
Additionally, Regi has been involved in international policy projects aimed at protecting endangered species, contributing to the conservation of silky, thresher, and mako sharks through initiatives like CoP17 and CoP19 CITES. Her expertise in logistics and her passion for conservation make Regi Domingo a vital leader in regenerative tourism and a dedicated advocate for preserving Baja California Peninsula natural beauty.
