Upgrading our expedition van with BFGoodrich KO3 tires

At Baja Adventures and the Nakawe Project, we're always looking for ways to enhance our expeditions and ensure the safety of our guests. Recently, @tersallantasoficial invited us to upgrade our Ford E-350 expedition van, "Cachalote," with the new BFGoodrich KO3 tires. Although we've been very satisfied with the performance of the KO2 tires on our rugged terrain, the evolution to the KO3 seems like a significant improvement.

The BFGoodrich All-Terrain model has consistently been an excellent choice for us, performing flawlessly on the arid terrain of our peninsula, which includes sand, gravel, thorns, and rocks. Additionally, they have provided comfortable and secure handling on paved roads.

However, the new design of the KO3 appears to offer better grip on various surfaces. The tire tread pattern effectively prevents rocks and mud from sticking, efficiently evacuating stones and mud. Moreover, the KO3 offers quieter, smoother, and more comfortable handling, promising greater resistance to abrasion and more uniform wear, which will extend their lifespan.

We believe the KO3 will provide significant improvements in traction and durability compared to the KO2, especially on the dirt roads and highways that we frequently traverse during our expeditions across the Baja California Peninsula.

It's worth noting that the KO2 tires previously installed on the Cachalote remain in excellent condition after more than 25,000 kilometers and will now be installed on our Toyota Tacoma.

Thank you, TERSA , for being an invaluable ally in ensuring the safety of our conservation and regenerative tourism projects. Your support is crucial to our mission to protect Baja's biodiversity while providing unforgettable experiences for our guests.
