Last October, our team at Baja Adventures had the invaluable opportunity to participate again in a comprehensive training workshop led by EMZAG , a multidisciplinary team specializing in wilderness medicine. Under the expert guidance of instructor Joel Palafox , we focused on critical skills essential for our remote expeditions, including the management of hemorrhages, wound care, CPR, and airway management.

Comprehensive Review of Emergency Equipment

During the workshop, we thoroughly reviewed various tourniquets available on the market, discussing their pros and cons to ensure our team is well-equipped to handle emergencies effectively. We also explored advanced emergency gear such as pocket masks, bag-valve masks (BVM), oxygen tanks, and oropharyngeal cannulas for CPR. This in-depth training ensures that our team can respond confidently and competently in any medical situation that may arise during our adventures.
